The Foil Style
Story
Built on the principle of Collective Independence.
Hairstylist,
Meets Rockstar
If ever there was a category for hairstylist-meets-rockstar, my wife Bam would top the list.
One day I was buried in work when I looked up and saw her racing out the door to Foil Hair Co — her salon. Bam can turn anything into an outfit — but this day she was in a full boiler suit, doo-rag, accessories, all working in a way that never made me think twice that she was wearing a boiler suit.
“I wish I had a job where I could wear a boiler suit to work.”She replied, “Well, come work at Foil.”
I thought for a second and said, “Why don’t we just bring Foil’s Style to everyone instead?”
Because the way Bam shows up isn’t an outfit — it’s a statement. And nobody had built a brand for the thousands of people who live the same way.
From there, Foil Style was born.

The Salon That
Proved It
Foil Hair Co opened in downtown Hudson, Ohio in May 2025 — an octagon-shaped space with floor-to-ceiling windows, run by two women who built their careers independently and then built this together.
The culture inside that salon — hardworking, creative, supportive, full of positive energy — is the proof behind everything Foil Style makes.
We didn’t have to imagine who Foil Style was for. They were already in the building. It Started With Two People
Who Already Lived It
Before Foil Style, there was Foil Hair Co. Bambi and Leslie built the salon — and the salon’s culture inspired the brand. Foil Style didn’t start with a business plan. It started with two people who already lived it.

Co-Founder, Foil Hair Co · Redken ArtistBambi is a hairstylist, salon owner, and Redken Artist. She co-founded Foil Hair Co and built her own brand — Beauty by Bam — around a simple idea: you are the inspiration. Her specialty is advanced color. Her signature is harder to teach: every piece she puts on is intentional, and walking into work is its own kind of statement. Foil Style exists because she lived it first.

Leslie Roach
Co-Founder, Foil Hair CoLeslie has spent nearly thirty years in professional hair. She ran her own independent chair for fifteen years — one of the first stylists in the area to take ownership of her own book — was part of AG Hair Cosmetics’ national artistic team, and spent seven seasons as personal stylist for the Cleveland Cavaliers Girls. She didn’t need a business partner. She chose one. That choice is Collective Independence in its most literal form.
Collective Independence
Most people assume you have to choose between two things: independence and belonging. Stand out, or fit in.
We don’t accept that.
Foil Style is built for people who are completely themselves — and still part of something. Independent professionals who treat how they show up as part of the craft. Stylists, makers, operators, builders. People who do it their way, on their terms, right beside other people doing the same.
You shouldn’t have to choose between standing out and belonging. So don’t.Three Pillars
The first 100 Boiler Suits carry sequentially numbered Founders Series patches. After No. 100, the series retires. Never reissued.
Tonal details. No billboard logos. Pieces that earn a second look instead of demanding a first one.
Designed alongside the people who actually wear it — stylists, makers, operators.
Built Behind the Scenes
Behind the brand are Matt McClone and Sean Humphreys, co-founders of Threshold Growth Partners — two people who spent twenty years building other companies before building this one.
“For two decades I helped build someone else’s company. Foil Style is the first one that’s ours.”

The First 100
The Boiler Room flagship launches with the Founders Series: 100 numbered patches, claimed in order, retired forever after No. 100. The first 100 people matter in a way the next 1,000 won’t.
That’s not scarcity marketing. That’s the record of who was here first.
NO. 000 IS SPOKEN FOR.
